Mürren - Schilthorn: more than just winter sports!
Visitors to the Mürren-Schilthorn region will encounter a new and very special highlight right at the start of their journey: between Stechelberg and Mürren, the world's steepest cable car operates on a gradient of 159.4%! The classic aerial tramway connects the valley floor with the car-free mountain village via the vertical walls of the Mürrenfluh. The journey continues with new aerial cable cars to the 2,970-meter-high Schilthorn – Piz Gloria. Surrounded by over 200 mountain peaks, some of them high alpine, the well-known revolving restaurant with its new, light-flooded station building stands out unmistakably on the summit. After around 24 minutes, you arrive at the top, where a culinary highlight awaits you in the 360° Piz Gloria restaurant: the Schilthorn brunch. This popular classic leaves nothing to be desired and is available daily until 2 p.m. On the way back, it's worth stopping at the Birg station. Here, the Skyline Walk platform and the Thrill Walk rock walkway lead into the vertical walls of the imposing rock massif. Pure thrills! Those who prefer a more leisurely pace can enjoy a walk through the car-free mountain village of Mürren or a trip to Allmendhubel – the perfect destination for families and connoisseurs.
Restaurant Piz Gloria: Table reservations are recommended daily from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and can be made directly here.
