Grottoes and fantastic polished rocks alternate with waterfalls and gurgling eddies. A well-maintained path leads you through this natural spectacle. A walk through the gorge works perfectly in combination with one of the many hiking trails in the Reichenbach Valley, a stop-off in a restaurant, a visit to the famous Reichenbach Falls or the historic Schwarzwaldalp saw.

The gorge is part of the Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch UNESCO World Heritage Site and lies on the wild, romantic PostBus route from Meiringen to Grindelwald. You can also access the gorge by car from Meiringen.
